Does Multi core enchancement do anything?

Sets all cores to the single-core boost frequency IIRC, with overclocking I assume it's useless.

It's a mobo overclock, where it will set the all core clock to match the single core turbo speed, and increase the voltage most likely more than is needed. If you're manually overclocking you're probably overriding it.

i did monitor the voltage and at one point my vcore was at 1.45, doesnt seem very safe! No point having it on then

You should be able to reduce it. Motherboards can overdo voltage settings.
