also you said you were on x299 for a few years, so I'll assume you have an older mobo, which means you can't use most of those lanes anyways, and you run on gen 3

I am NOT a professional and a lot of the time what I'm saying is based on limited knowledge and experience. I'm going to be incorrect at times.

Main speaker setup is now;

 

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

 

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

I wasn't measuring d****. I think 1 grand is 100% plausible, and that's why my suggestion. The 6XX scales beautifully with the right kind of amplification.

Yeah I was joking lol. That amplifier is for electrostatics anyway.
