Im looking to make my laptop run cooler

Gunn
Go to solution Solved by Spakes,

You can undervolt your CPU with ThrottleStop or Intel XTU.

Here's a good guide on undervoltiong:

Hello i want to improve my temps on my HP 15-BS064NS it has an i7-7500U its and 15W cpu but it does heat up quite a bit im running at 60C and i already changed the thermal paste to liquid metal. But it still runs preaty hot. Can you guys help me? The fan model number is sps-813946-001 and the heatsink one is sps-925017-001. Does anyone know were to buy a custon heat sink or faster fan to output the heat.

Laptops are a tight fit...you can't change much inside... so best solution is combination of cooling pad and external vacuum like exhaust connected:

https://www.amazon.com/Extracting-Exhaust-Notebook-computer-hardware/dp/B07DMQSH38

Real big vacuum would work too, but you can't call it quiet or power efficient :D

If you supply power to cooling from another source and not the laptop itself, it can get even cooler, but all the wires kinda force you to use laptop on the desk setup...

You should do it in small steps, start with more reasonable -50 mV (for example), then go a step lower after AIDA64 stability test run.

Load in save mode and delete Intel XTU.

Duration-wise - yes, multiplier-wise - no.

Well done, that's quite a decent bump in score.
