I am setting up for an Intel build for my new gaming PC as a first build. My budget is around 2000 before peripherals, and I plan on playing Destiny and Modern Warfare as my main stays. Here it is below:

I am wondering if there may be a way to keep the power of the CPU/GPU and attempt to future proof for a few years, but also see if we can bring the cost down at all.

What about Ryzen? You could probably even go to a 3600 if you need to shave off a bit.

one way to drive the cost down would be to get a ryzen cpu instead. is there any particular reason you want to get an intel cpu? if not, I can help with a ryzen build

So the reason I am not going AMD is I have had issues with AMD chipset computers before, as well as AMD has experienced previous issues with Destiny 2 which is my main game.

Issues how? AMD is much better value than Intel right now.

If you can wait until September ( Q4 ) the Ryzen 4000 will come  on line . All prices will drops. Intel and AMD.

They've fixed the destiny issue a long time ago
