So I have built a small pc to play games on my TV. Now my TV will display 4k at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz but to get that 120hz the TV needs to first receive the signal before it switches to that mode. There is no way of doing it in the TV settings so Windows of course will only give me the option of up to 4k 60hz no 1080 120hz. Is there a way in window to force the display settings? I am using an amd 5700xt if that helps.

Thanks

There are advanced custom resolution settings in AMD Radeon Software. Go to Settings > Displays and select your display, agree to the EULA for custom resolutions and you are able to add a custom resolution with whatever resolution and refresh rate you want.

PC:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE | 32 GB RAM | Arch Linux

Laptop:

MacBook Pro 13" (2019) | Intel Core i5 8279U | 8 GB RAM | macOS

Server:

Intel Core i7 6700K | 16 GB RAM | 2 TB HDD | Debian Linux
