samsung 840 evo, way over TBW

hey

my 840 EVO 500gb is showing 400TBW. Thats roughly 4x more than stated TBW from samsung

 

The Magician software says Condition is good. 

 

Is it "good" until its not? 

 

All the sensitive info is in the cloud so a drive failure is not really a concern.

 

How many TBWs you guys got?

My 840 Evo 120G is at 27TB, it shows 81 life left. It is always good to keep backups of your data.

the 840 evo had 19nm TLC TCF NAND, and there were problems with reading old data, so there was an firmware update, that aggressively refreshes the data on SSD. Don't know if it count's to the TBW.

Samsung 850 Pro 2TB is rated to 300TBW. Most tests and tortures I've seen, they've gone far past 1PB (that's 1000 TB).
