Hello world!

I've been a gamer as long as I can remember, but this is the first time I'll have ever built a new PC from parts that I've picked.

I just wanted to throw out my build and get some opinions on it.

Its been maybe 10 years since I had a really decent computer, and so thats the purpose for me building this.

I'm gonna use it mostly for gaming and hopefully have everything at Ultra Graphics settings, but I also want to use it to stream on twitch, do Video/picture editing, I wanna get into Graphic design as well.

I plan to at some point upgrade my CPU to a Ryzen 2700x or maybe better Any thoughts on what kind of processor I want to upgrade it with?

I also want to upgrade the graphics card in this, maybe 6 months down the line.

Anyways, thanks for checking out my thread!

If you're buying a Ryzen 5 2600, keep in mind that AMD is now making the Ryzen 5 1600 on the 12nm process, and it's basically a 2600 with a different name. (GamersNexus has a good video about this here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wRO_AUdmfis).

The 1600 is usually a cheaper CPU, so that could save some money.

However, you should ensure that you’re getting the updated version, with a SKU ending in “AF” instead of “AE”

theres are some changes i would make. the 3600 is worth the extra money for its much better gaming performance imo. ignore the warning since the msi max motherboards come with the bios update required to run ryzen 3000 series cpus out of the box and more case fans dont really make that much of a difference. on most newer games this build would not be able to run ultra settings but some older games/esports games definitely

How about something like this:

Much better GPU, better CPU (you could even drop the cooler if you wanted, the stock cooler is fine for stock clockspeeds), faster memory. I removed the case fans because the H510i already comes with 2x120mm fans, and that's enough case fans. If you want more, then by all means add them back in. (4 is a lot though, I don't think they'd all even fit in the case) I also changed the motherboard for an equally powerful but cheaper model. (PCpartpicker complains about compatibility, but these parts will work. MSI "MAX" motherboard work with 3000 series chips out of the box)

Thanks for the feedback guys, I took your advice into consideration and this is a revised build I came up with.

Better CPU and MUCH better GPU like ya'll said, I took out those Arctic fans "Besides the reviews on their performance, I totally loved the sleek design and color" and decided to get some cheap Uphere fans that have really good reviews instead "Because I'm a Color coordination nit picking freak :P"

Did yall say the MSI  B450 pro-Max Mobo already come with the updated Bios? Or would I have to flash it?

I kept the 600W PSU because at some point in the future I know I'll wanna upgrade the CPU to something better. Or should I get something bigger than that? the wattage calculator says rn I'm sitting at about 354W

Anyways, again thank you very much for your feedback! I appreciate your time.

Oh! I thought they were comparably similar, the 5700xt is just a little more, but if its faster, then the extra $10 or so wont matter.
