A few days back I bought the rtx 2060 and just 5 days later my corsair vengeance 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram got damaged....so i bought a new corsair vengeance 8gb ddr4 3000mhz ram this time....And it turns out that after 18 days my new ram also is damaged....My pc starts for 10 secs and then restarts automatically(faced the same problem with the previous Ram)

My specs:

Cpu-i5 6402p 2.8ghz

GPU-Rtx 2060

Mobo-h110m s2

Ram-8gb ddr4

Psu-corsair vs 650w

Is there anything wrong with the power supply or the gpu or just bad luck?

Is it the old orange label VS650? What made you think that your RAM got damaged?

How could the ram be damaged? It does happen, but not that often.

How did you verify that the ram was damaged

And also make sure you quote people so we can see your responses

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Faced the same issue before with the same starting for 10 secs and then restarting issue.....replacing the ram solved it....now again the same thing is happening

That's not definitive either way, I'd be sure to verify your ram in another system.

Still doesn't guarantee that the ram is the problem

Enough wattage but the quality is not great.

Could be a problem with your motherboard

I was just about to say also that it sounds more like a motherboard related problem. Have you tried resetting CMOS, and are you still running the BIOS your motherboard came with or have you updated it since?

You have to test. Do you have a friend's PC you could work with?

Turn off the PSU, take out the CMOS battery situated around the PCI-E slots by hand or with a flat-head screwdriver, leave it out for about 5 minutes, and then put it back in. Keep in mind this will reset your BIOS settings.

it seems like a very complicated problem so you probably won't have a very simple solution on your hands

Better than not doing it.....

Reset the cmos.

Instructions located in the manual for your board sir.

https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-h110m-s2(ddr3)_e.pdf

If you update the bios, follow the update instructions carefully.
