If you had, say, acryllic tubing, sure.

It would only hurt things that couldn't expand. So the rads, blocks, and res. Soft tubing would be fine though.

In that situation, I would just empty it. Or empty it to half full.

You'd might as well just empty the whole thing. :)

Depends a lot on the coolant too. For example Koolance freezes at -15c.

If your house is colder then -15 you likely have much more serious issues.

Issues more serious than the fact that ones PC is in danger? Hah i would like to hear them!

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

I think a plumbing system might be slightly more expensive than a few broken water cooling components..

A couple years ago we lost power for about 2 weeks in a snowstorm (I live in CT) but our house never went below about 40-45f. (about 7c) Mostly because we constantly had a fire going.

I guess i could still try and argue with this.

Say in the likely event that this was to happen, i would be living on my own, i would most likely be an apartment, so i guess i wouldn't have to pay for it, and would find a new place for my PC t...i mean my self to live in.

the biggest part I'd be worried about is when it starts melting and all the condensation...  I'd leave it off for a few days to make sure it all dries up
