Should i download drivers or let Windows update install them?

So there's a bit more to my question. If i was doing a custom build i would find the model of my motherboard and download the drivers from that companies website but i just did a system reset on a prebuilt Acer and i was curious if i should download the drivers from their website? Windows updates got everything working correctly but i'm not sure if it's just using basic drivers. Should i just leave it as is or install this stuff?

Windows Update works more often than not, if your system is behaving as expected there is nothing more to do.

 

If something is not then trying the proprietary drivers could fix it.
