Hello,

I've been looking for a 240hz monitor lately and I saw that FreeSync now compatible is with GSync, so my question is:
-Is a FreeSync GSync Compatible monitor the same as a GSync one or are there any downs?
-Is this a good FreeSync Compatible monitor: https://www.bol.com/nl/p/alienware-aw2518hf-freesync-gaming-monitor/9200000081268977/?Referrer=ADVNLGOO002021-G-62788811243-S-585956912395-9200000081268977&gclid=Cj0KCQiAvJXxBRCeARIsAMSkAprJu9SqFYsbcRKqiAxoHUw_Cn26vxDSIf9clUKfEwJfBcpK7nR2VdoaAvzzEALw_wcB

Freesync and G-Sync are essentially the same thing - they reduce input lag and prevent screen tearing therefore offering smoother game play overall.

G-Sync utilises a chip built into the monitor, whereas FreeSync essentially is just some nifty programming.

Therefore, due to the chip, G-Sync performs better than FreeSync, but usually costs more.

So GSync will still be better? Will it be worth to pay 100/200 extra though?

You don't get the same frequency range with FreeSync as you do with GSync. So GSync is better.
