Just be careful of the hyper212 side clips if they’re plastic.  They tend to break and if even one clip breaks it messes up the whole thing.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

That’s why I prefer black / rgb edition of that cooler, they using metal clips instead of this plastic ones, plus they look much better in black ?

Ok thanks! I´ll proceed with caution. If I break those I am doomed.

Can´t say it was easy, but I is done. But I think my MoBo MSI B450 Gaming Plus does not support RGB :( At the very least I´d like to change the case fans to red to match the rest of the hardware.

Rgb is a pita imho. It’s proprietary by maker and sometimes model as well.  A controller that works with that particular model of fan will be needed to change the rgb.  Usually there is a software component as well which are famous for being buggy.

Thats a Corsair fan and I believe at least part of their “ecosystem” is called iCUE.  That’s all the information I got I’m afraid.  Others may have more.

Thanks a lot! I found it.

Now, I just noticed that this fan is giving me roughly 5C more at idle and under load. But, now I do not have a vibrating case. So is it better to have this higher temperature or to place back the vibrating fan and have the lower temperature?

What kind of temps we talking about? Usually it’s safe for higher temps

Idle 35C-45C oscilation

Normal operation (browsing and office work) 45C-57C

Casual gaming 55C-65C

Heavy gaming (1080p ultra) 65C-78C

Everything sort of vamped up 5C with the corsair fan, compared to the CoolerMaster. But no vibrations now.

Still safe temps so nothing to worry about
