I just got my new m.2 ssd but I've got a slight problem

IAHansen

I just got myself a new ssd(Kingston A2000 500GB NVMe M.2 SSD) to replace an old hdd. But it seems im missing the screw. I bought my motherboard(ASUS ROG Strix Z390-F GAMING, S-1151) a good year or so ago, and the genius that i am i haven't taken care of anything that came with it.

So I'm wondering what size screw i need so i can get off my ass and get it from a hardware store or something. Metrics would be preferable.

Hi have you looked at the m.2 slot and noticed maybe a silver screw where the ssd should be put? I also bought an m.2 and thought I dont have the screw but it was actually put in the hole in the motherboard

M.2 screws and standoffs have finally become commonplace to buy online, lucky you. A few months ago it was damn near impossible to get any.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
