Hi ! My current build haven't changed much since 2013 and I think it's time to upgrade. (I live in France and the sales season has started yesterday). I've planned to use it with my only 1080p 144hz monitor for now and 1440p next monitor upgrade. I mainly use my PC for gaming but I often use it for work with Autocad, Solidworks and Photoshop.

To change :
CPU : Intel core i5 3570K (Stock cooler)
Motherboard : ASUS P8Z77-V LK Z77 Express
RAM : 4x4Go Corsair Vengeance 1600Mhz (Upgraded two years ago 8Gb to 16Gb)

To keep :
SSD : Samsung EVO 850 256Go (+2Tb HDD...)
GPU: PNY GTX 1080 XLR8 (Upgraded two years ago from a RX480 8Gb)
PSU : Corsair HX650Case : Antec P280

My budget is around 500€($550 w/tax.) And this is what I've planned to build, I can spend a little more for better performance but I want the best price/perf ratio :

What do you think of this build and how can I improve it ? Thanks !

Good! I would go with the U12S, because that cooler is delish.. Even though it's expensive.

Thank you for the replies ! My first thought was for the 3700X too, and in the long run it make more sense.

I really like the U12s in black (and even more in Black/Orange LTT style, but my GPU is not RGB but only red so...), but I can use the stock cooler of the 3700X and wait for a better offer on the U12s.

Concerning the motherboard someone advise me to go for the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX (its seems that it's one of the best B450 boards) and it's just 10 bucks more.

And I'm a little concerned with the RAM brand "Mushkin", never read or heard of it. And I thought that 3200Mhz was the sweet spot for Ryzen builds ? I don't know if 16Gb 3600Mhz CL18 NONAME make more sense than 16Gb 3200Mhz CL16 Corsair.

The stock cooler is already pretty good even with PBO enable.

The MAX is just a little better but basically they are the same, it just have more VRM cooling.

There are 3 rams manufacturer after that it's just a brand name put on it. So you can pay more for Corsair because it's a known brand. Also 3600 is the sweet spot. Usually ram has a lifetime warranty w/e the brand.
