Question, first time ever ssd

Building my first computer in over 5 years soon. This will be my first time using an ssd. I want to get a 256gb 840 pro, but I'm thinking of getting 2 120gb 840 evos and running raid 0. Now with the raid 0 set up would I get 240gb of total storage? or just 120.

This. RAID 0 with SSDs generally isn't worth it, and 840 Pros aren't worth the extra money now that the EVOs are out.

840 pros are good, but they are more expensive, slightly faster and don't even have all the features of Samsung Magician.  I would go for a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO, that sucker is fast and its really feature-full and I think its the best SSD (its the only one I've ever used ).

Its not the best SSD, because its using inferior TLC flash.

But its fast for its price.

Pretty sure in the latest Magician update the 840 Pro's and other models got their Rapid mode enabled<cos I'm using it, and maybe encryption got too.
