Mobo wont flash

My b450 tomahawk max will not flash the BIOS. The LED next to the flash bios button ones not even come on When the usb is plugged in. Is it bricked or defective etc.? 

Specs:

Ryzen 5 3600 

1080 ti

B450 tomahawk max

Corsair CMK8GX4M2A2666C16 Vengeance LPX 8gb (4x2) 2666 mhz

Corsair cx 650

well then care to fill us in on the situation at all then?

like did the board ever work at any point... is this a newly built machine.....why are you updating the bios.... what components are in use.......

The machine never has POSTed. The reason why im flashing is because the ez debug light on my mobo is stuck at the CPU LED. I'll update the description with my specs

At this point I might just RMA it and buy another max board

It’s weird cos Tomahawk Max have support of Ryzen 3rd gen out of the box. Did you tried any troubleshooting?

It Apparently isnt the mobo cos the CPU is still not detected. Its probably not cpu either cos it is the second one. The ram is fine I think cos the ez debug dram lights up if I take it out. Help!

Silly question, do you have dedicated gpu?

Ok lets start from beginning. Correct me if I’m wrong. You got the Tomahawk Max board, you tried to flash the new bios which didn’t work and pc was posting. Since then you rma board get the new one and still no post.

Is there any signs of life in your system? Fans spinning etc? You tried clearing cmos and this didn’t work as well. What else did you tried?

Yes everything turns on and fans spin etc. But the CPU LED is constantly on. I have tried out of the box, 1 stick of ram new cpu, 3 different mobos. Amazon must think im a dumbass.

Ok I’ll list all the things which I would do on your place.

Remove the mobo from the case and test it on the box, re-plug all the cables to be sure they connected properly (both ends if you have modular psu), make sure cpu cooler is installed properly and making good contact with cpu, reset cmos, replace battery on board (believe I heard it helps sometimes).

K so Did this tried to flash bios, worked for a bit and now is stuck at solid red light

Why the hell you trying to flash the bios if its working without doing that? 
Other thing is are you sure you using right bios and doing everything correctly??

Well at least It isnt bricked. And yes, I followed the msi tutorial. Honestly, im not sure what to do anymore. The CPU LED is still on and my brain is confused so im just gonna call it a day and look at this tomoz
