Help me with my raid setup

Hello, I recently setup a raid 5 using a highpoint 2720 8 port controller with 7 WD red 4tb drives. I seem to have the drive working correctly in windows 10. I'm afraid to start transfering data to the array because it's not initilized?. I have never dealt with a raid 5 configuration before only raid 0. My question is how long dose it take to initialize? In the highpoint raid manager it shows the status as 0%. Am I safe to transfer data or should I wait until it finishes? If so how long would this take it's been at 0% for well over 2 hours

Is your PC hardware raid supported? if yes you can easily configure raid 5 without any hassle.
