Hey guys. I decided to register here to ask for your advice.

Thing is, I managed to build myself a pc about 5 years ago, was gaming on it since.

With the funeral of Win 7 around the corner, I've decided to build myself a new one, one that will let me game and perhaps even stream and do all the stuff I couldn't on this one, and be relevant for years to come.

I'm not exactly educated when it comes to pc parts and hardware in general, so please explain stuff so even I can understand it.

I was looking for getting: i9-9900k, with the noctua NH-D15 cooler

32gigs of ram DDR4 - no idea about speeds :/

Gigabyte RTX 2070 Super 8G

750W PSU

2 ssd's ( one for OS  [ 120Gb ], other for games [480Gb]), and a 2TB HDD ( for ... something ... ?)

also getting a new monitor for 1080p 144hz gaming - 27" ASUS VG279Q

Thing is, I have no idea how to pair all the components together, to get the best result.

Also, I'm a total noob when it comes to overclocking, and I would probably try to avoid it.

If you'd like to help me make up my mind and teach me something, I'd appreciate it.

And of course, happy new year! ?

It's a good start if you want to stay Intel, otherwise look into the 3700X for AMD (if you want to stream and edit and all that other stuffs).

I have found that people say they're going to do things,  pay for the rig to do them,  and then just kind of never get around to really doing them.

A mid-range rig will do everything you need and do the streaming/;editing as well for much cheaper.

Well, right now, I'm at about 2100€ and that's about the budget, still have about 100€ left in case something needs to be changed for a more compatibile HW.

this is my current wishlist :

Might be a good idea, however I'm a bit paranoid about stuff breaking, so that's why I wanted to have my drives separated for Windows, Games, and generall archive for photos and videos, in case one goes, I would still have the other two. I've looked at some 2TB m.2's, and found out there are different ones when it comes to read speed. One claims to have about 560MB/s [ WD ], while the other has 1800MB/s [ Intel 660p ]. I've been wondering, if its safe/smart/logical to use one drive for everything.

I separate Windows and data, cuz I tend to go places I shouldn't and if I need to reinstall Windows... :)

Also, my game libraries are separate too.

The "funeral" of Win 7 does not impose you to buy a new PC you can format and install W10, but its a nice excuse :)

You should also post what specs PC you have now. There are 10 year old PCs that run windows 10 just fine.

Right now I have i5-4570 3,2GHz

Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Beast X Predator Series XMP

ASUS Z87-C soc.1150

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 2GB/256-bit, GDDR5, 2xDVI

ADATA 128GB SSD SX910 Series SATA 3 6Gb/s,

WD Green 3,5" HDD 1,0TB 5400RPM 64MB SATA 6Gb/s

Planning to pass it on onto family members possibly, as I'm looking forward to "start fresh" without restrictions on 144hz
