using for everything, a bit of editing (video/photography hobbyist), a bit of gaming (but with aaa games) both cost 3000 US. which is a better buy? Part change isn't possible, because they are pre built.

Both have their flaws, but I'd say cpu power over gpu power. If the ram isn't enough get another 16GB at a later date

The releases that were made during this year are very good from both AMD and Intel. After a decade of Intel always winning, this year the best CPU was made by AMD, so your preference will play a role ere. I always chose Intel but seeing what AMD achieved I cannot ignore facts, The Intel one seems a little etter in the graphics department but I doubt you ever will reach the limits of this machine, so pick the one you like the most.
