GPU Upgrade

Hi all,

I currently have an intel i5 7400 and an EVGA GTX 1050 TI. I wanted to upgrade my GPU to a GTX 1660 TI. Do you think that there will be a bottle neck?

without knowing the usage case , no there will not be any form of bottleneck from the card just sitting in the machine

I’d be using it for gaming (GTA5 and ghost recon wildlands mostly)

well the cpu isn't very fast from the looks of it. kinda depends on how the system is loaded when the games are running. 

Basically if your cpu isn't overloaded right now while playing those it could be ok.

download hwmonitor and check your cpu usage and gpu usage when playing gta 5. if the cpu is at 100% and the gpu is not at 100 then its bottlenecking

That's true, but it's also nothing to be scared of. There always will be a component in your sistem that's at 100% while others aren't depending on the application. There isn't such a thing as a perfectly balanced system.

Bottlenecking should only be used in extreme cases, like pairing an old i3 with a 2080ti.
