college touchsreen laptop

JerryBond

I'm looking for a laptop for under 490€, i'd use it for (word, excell, .pdf reader, mozilla, youtube, vlc online tv...). I don't play any games so it doesn't have to be a gaming computer. I don't need an os and MS office because I can get license from my universty. Touch screen would be nice but I wouldn't like to exceed my financial plan. I need suggestions.

Thank you for advice in advance :)

preferred stats:

touchscreen

ram8GB

SSD around 128GB (nvme?)

does dedicated gpu make sense?

battery doesn't matter, would be plugged in mostly.

not too heavy

Nvme is only currently useful for gigantic files.  Sata6 is so fast that the difference is unnoticeable on human time scales unless the files are huge. Hundreds of gigabytes. If you were moving whole movies back and forth it might matter a tiny bit.

dedicated (discrete) gpu does not make sense. Only useful for specific workloads.  Gaming is one.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

No SSD.  That’s a 5400rpm mechanical HD I think.  Big one though.   Again I think.  I looked it up by model number.  ...and the model number is different. Argh.  256gb ssd is gonna fill up fast.  Might want a bigger one.
