Hey everyone,

I am relatively new to PC builds and I have been saving up to build a new PC for a while and now I can finally splurge on something good.

Here's what I've currently got planned out.

So I actually picked all these parts on Memory Express with their system builder page. The reason is I have never done any physical work on a PC expect put in a new graphics card in my current PC, therefore I don't really trust myself to build it all by myself and not end up blowing up the whole thing. So I will be using them to build it for me.

One thing I want to get checked is the CPU cooler, not sure if it is enough to cool it or if I should go with an AIO.

Any help or recommendations on what I should change would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks All

Don’t get a 3800x unless it’s cheaper than a 3700x. And you might be able to find a cheaper nvme, try a ADATA XPG Sx8200 Pro, and don’t buy a copy of Windows, just get a key off eBay for $10.

as well if you’re going for bang for buck I’d recommend a 5700XT over a 2070S

Gaming Build:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3800x   |  GPU: Asus ROG STRIX 2080 SUPER Advanced (2115Mhz Core | 9251Mhz Memory) |  Motherboard: Asus X570 TUF GAMING-PLUS  |  RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws DDR4 3600MHz 16GB  |  PSU: Corsair RM850x  |  Storage: 1TB ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro, 250GB Samsung 840 Evo, 500GB Samsung 840 Evo  |  Cooler: Corsair H115i Pro XT  |  Case: Lian Li PC-O11

Peripherals:

Monitor: LG 34GK950F  |  Sound: Sennheiser HD 598  |  Mic: Blue Yeti  |  Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB Platinum  |  Mouse: Logitech G502

Laptop:

Asus ROG Zephryus G15

Ryzen 7 4800HS, GTX1660Ti, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz, 512GB nVME, 144hz

NAS:

QNAP TS-451

6TB Ironwolf Pro

Looks great! Noctua coolers are very good, better than some AIOs.

What monitor do you plan to use with the 2070 super? What is the resolution and frame rate?

I am going with a 1440p monitor with a 144Hz refresh. I am getting this so it will upgrade from my current PC which runs 50 FPS at best when in the more demanding games. Also like the AMD with the extra threads to have something that I can do other things than gaming with.

the monitor is an Asus TUF Gaming VG27AQ

-@VEXICUS's build seems the best

-you can get windows on ebay for $4-5

-no need for thermal paste

-STRONG warning against vuugo. i've had to chargeback them before, plus their shipping fees can get up to $20 to BC for regular parts, $50-100 for cases
