Closed Loop System (H100i, H105, or H110?)

jman3350

Right now I have a brand new in box H100i, but with my other 2 I had (they were RMA'd) they had broken. I have a third and contacted Corsair about it, I'm able to trade it in for an h105 or an h110. My question is which one should I get, which one is better?

I think I remember watching a vid that showed that the H110 was better than the h100i by a bit, but wanted opinions.

The H100i has a load of other stuff like a relly nice mounting system, LED Corsair logo and Corsair link. The H110 is a 280mm cooler so it performs better than the H100i but not by too much. The H105 is a performance oriented H100i. It doesn't have any of the extras like the H100i, but the rad is slightly thicker (I think) so it performs a little better. I would go for the H110 if you can fit it in your case

If your case can support the 280mm rad then go with the H110 for better performance. You can get the same performance with lower fan speeds or better with the same speeds due to the larger surface area.

both the 105 and h110 may have compatibility issues, what is your case? Technically the h110 is the best.

Case is Cooler Master HAF X, so I assume I have room.

From what I can tell the Haf x isn't compatible with 280mm radiators unless you drill some holes. That is based off pictures of the case that don't appear to have 280mm holes present. So the h105 might be the best option.

the 110 was better  by a little bit:

the 105 has a bit better score but again not by leaps and bounds (testing by TTL).

I personally prefer the software advantages of the h100i. Its only slightly less effective then alternatives.

The software such as Corsair Link is useless besides the option to change the light color.. You should be using your motherboard to control fans..

not everybody had the luxury to have a lot of fan headers. nuttin wrong with

corsair/mobo control. it is a preference. i prefer constant voltage as to variable

or PWM so you don't get that POST jet-engine roar on boot-up.

POST jet-engine roar on boot-up.

You definitely get that if the fans are connected to the pump :P On asus boards its only a second..

@Op just stay away from a H100i/H110 whatsoever get a Swiftech H220 or H320 instead so much better and quieter. If it has to be a corsair I would vote either for the H105/H110(asetek) theyre from a much better OEM than H100i's (Coolit).

Don't even bother with the H100i unless you think you will get a unit that doesn't suck. So many of them have been defective in so many different kinds of ways. Mine has been doing a fabulous job, but if you're going to spend 100$+ on a cooler, might as well get one that works as intended. Go for the H220; its a shame it doesn't have a sexy LED like the H100i.

Edit: wow my bad, didn't even finish reading the first post. Go for the H220 if you can.

the same can also be said for the H220. it is a hit/miss on pump noise/failure.

personal experience. OCN, [H], and other forums have long listed issues as well.

I found HERE that the H110 is not compatible with the HAF X.

It find that the H105 is the best choice, all three perform great and the H110 can pull ahead when adding after market fans to it, but the stock, to me, look ugly. Because of this I would grab the H105 as the fans look and perform better.
