Which Laptop

I was hoping if anyone here can help me.

I am looking for a light laptop for school. I will be using it for mostly internet, MS Office, and maybe a couple of light gaming here and there. 

Not too expensive.

Location? You mean where I am from? Toronto Canada 

Screen size I guess big enough? But 15" is the MAX. 

Show me top 5 as for budget.

There's so much info to give... 

I'll spend from $500 and up to $1500 maybe up to $1000 but I'd like to see what my options are and if it would be worth the extra money. 

But for what I am mainly going to be doing I don't think I would spend so much more. 

Please remember this is a laptop for school so it has to be light and not super heavy.

I guess 5 hours or more. This is when I am just on the internet or using MS office. 

I know when gaming it is going to kill it faster.
