Does cold weather affect wifi signals?

I am recently seeing my wifi signal dropping at the same position, with the link speed which remained stable fluctuating now.
Can winter season cause this? Ambient temps have dropped by around 20C. My PCIe card is Asus AC55BT B1

No. Temperature doesn't affect RF/Wifi signals in any way.

Crap, is my wifi card giving up so soon? Just purchased it in october -_- thought asus would be better than tp-link

Lots of things can cause wifi issues including interference from other devices but temperature will not affect the wifi signals. There's lots of wifi apps you can get on your phone see if there's any other wifi signals nearby.

Check for other sources of interference, we had a 2.4GHz baby monitor that would block the wifi signal in half of the house.

I am on 5Ghz and the router is hardly 1metres from the antennae

Cat5e cable got damaged. Didn't care to change as ping was okay in games.

You do realise there is more to it than just ping, right?

The ping could appear good and still have packet loss, as it depends how its actually determining that ping.

Its also possible to be too close to the router, causing the WiFi card to actually get too strong a signal.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

Solved it, it was the bluetooth cable bugging the wifi module. Removed it and wifi works fine.
