b450 Tomahawk Memory Problem

Hey guys just done building my Stream pc specs as bleow

B450 Tomahawk mobo

Ryzen 7 2700x

Team Group xcalibur 3600mhz Ram

gtx 1060ti

 

the problem im having is my ram will not go past 3000mhz, i have Tried everything

 enabling xmp does nothing

 i have manually set Voltage and timings and nothing, i have used the amd dram Calc and nothing, it always Reboots and Reverts all my settings back to 2400mhz

Update to Latest bios. anyone able to help me out?

and yes have tired every single Mhz settings up to 3600 and it just reverts everything bac to 2400mhz

Zen+ CPUs can get as bad as only running 3000MHz RAM. Blame the CPU.

i have had 2 diffrent Cpus in this sytem A 3200g and a 2700x and both did the same thing

Thats actually why i got the 2700x because i thought i was have been a CPU limitation or memory Controller issue

ITs rather frustrating that is list that they both can handle up to 3400 OC but wont boot past 3000

3200G is still Zen+, just like the 2700X.

With a CPU that doesnt lose the silicon lottery, yes. You clearly lost it

 

You could try updating the BIOS

i have updated the bios and To lose it two Times what the Chances that both my Cpus wont do it?  lamee

Yeah sounds like typical ryzen 2000 memory problems. Not as bad as the 1000 series but it still struggles to hit much more than 3000 mhz in my experience.

Have you tried reaching out to msi?  I had issues with my ryzen 1st gen and asrock support was able to help me get my ram up to 3000mhz at the time.  It may be worth emailing them with the details.

i havent yet i wanted to exhuast my options, i have seen people using 3400 mhz no problem on B450. i hit 3000 just fine and it runs great but nothing past that
