2 users 1 cpu

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

You'll need to get another GPU and install UnRaid plus all the other steps they talked about in the original video:

It would probably be a lot easier to just get a simple PC for your parents. 300 USD can get you a decent office system, you just need a keyboard+mouse+monitor too (which you would have needed to get with 2 gamers 1 cpu too), these shouldn't cost you much more than 100-200 USD.

Hey my parents have a really slow pc and i just have a new one. I saw linus video where he did 2 users 1 cpu. I want to do this with my parents they only use it for something like bookkeeping or word or to put photo's on nothing special. i want to game with it could this be possible? i can only find things how they do it and not what and how it runs.

My pc specs

CPU i7 8086k

GPU 1070 asus

RAM 16gb 2666hz

M.2 500gb (will be upgraded if this is possible)

My parents have that kind of system right now so the best advice is just let them use that?

There are many sorts of systems you could buy for 300 USD, do you perhaps know the specifications?
What I would recommend to have in such a PC is:

- 4 (modern) cores

- 8GB RAM +

- Dual channel memory!

- SSD

If it doesn't conform to these standards, it's possible they may find it slow.. But do you actually know if they think it's slow or something?

1 GPU for player 1

1 GPU for player 2

integrated graphics for Unraid.
