Using 2nd GPU for Netflix While Editing - Worth it?

I edit a lot of wedding videos on premiere using two monitors. My setup is a ryzen 2700x and a gtx 1070.

 

I like to watch something on netflix in the background, and I'm thinking about getting a third small monitor to put above my primary monitors for exactly that purpose (so i don't lose screen real estate for editing). Here's my question - I happen to have a spare gt 1030 lying around, and I'm wondering if using that to power the third monitor would provide any benefit/not sap any performance from the other GPU?

 

I imagine if it would help performance at all, it would be minimal, but at least it would give me a use for that extra card if would provide any benefit at all.

 

Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

nah you dont really need an extra card. the GPU's CUDA compute part is different to the video decoding part.

 

You could try using the GT 1030 though, if you want a convincing reason not to use it.
