I want to rescript my keyboard, but I can't seem to find anything on google I want to add some media keys to my keyboard and I want it so that I can just plug it into a different computer and it'll keep that same script.

So to put it more simply

I want to add media keys.

I want the media keys I added to move with the keyboard, not be locked down to a single computer, requiring me to do it again if i reinstall the OS or use a different computer.

You can't do that. The Apex keyboard from SteelSeries that can be completely remapped.

Oh you can't remap a keyboard?

I don't think you can flash custom firmware onto keyboards unless you're a total boss... It is possible to just use software to do the same thing in a lightweight fashion that you could just throw on a flash drive though.

its a filco majestouch 2, if that makes a difference. So I can't just completley remap a keyboard. That's dissapointing, I guess I could sell it and buy like a ducky shine 3 or something,

You can remap it but the remapping is done on the computer side not the keyboard. I use sharpkeys.

Yea i knew you could do it on the computer side, I wanted to see if I could change it on the keyboard side, so I don't have to do it everytime I use a different compouter.

Well you couldn't do that on the ducky shine either.. Your best bet is to do what I said and just use something like sharpkeys to remap them in software.

Logitech g510s does this. It stores the profiles on the keyboard and has plenty of media keys. It doesn't have switches and it's fairly large though.
