my understanding is I will need a GPU for this build and would very much appreciate your input for the 

lowest price and most reasonable fit. I am located right on the US/CAN border so price example from both currencies are totally fine

What's the budget?

You could literally go from anything to a 2080 ti

unfortunately right now the budget is "as low as possible", I mistook the processor would enable to get away without a dedicated video card (that would have been a Ryzen 3) until I saved up for "more". So first and foremost as low as possible, second choice would be "makes sense in terms of what the rest of the system can achieve". And finally to throw out a number...200CAD/150USD.
