Hello,

I'm currently building a pc and it won't post. The items are as follows

https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/X6HWcq

I've tried using display port + hdmi in various slots on my motherboard and monitor. All seems to be working, RGB lights showing everywhere. No idea why it won't post. Shows nothing on the screen.

I have also tried using a USB to update the bios but not sure if I did it properly.

Hello,

You need to have a Ryzen 3000 ready bios on the board for it to post, probably just double check the USB bios flashing

I'd probably recommend returning the RGB fans anyways to get perfectly fine ones at a much lower price from ebay/aliexpress

Or maybe return the motherboard and the fans and get an X570 which I would have suggested in the first place, especially with a 12 core CPU, because that VRM really isn't recommended for a 12 core. Should be fine for the base clock, not sure if it would limit your boost clocks.

The prime P has the best VRM for the lowest price I think

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Actually the tomahawk MAX comes with a Ryzen 3000 bios, not sure what the issue is otherwise, any of the bios for that board will support Ryzen 3000, it's basically a B550 board
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B450-TOMAHAWK-MAX

I guess just make sure everything is plugged in? Maybe try another cable or monitor if you have one, and your monitor is going to your GPU right?

Just saying that you kind of cheaped out on your motherboard...
