I don't know what I was thinking when I built my pc 3 years ago. But I put 1 fan in the back and 1 fan at the top of the case. GPU was always reaching pretty high temps.

Today I finally changed that and put 2 fans as intakes at the front (with dust filter) and one pushing air out at the back. and my temps are like 20°C lower now. I knew it would make a difference but never thought that it would be that substantial.

Well, in the olden days (pre 2000), most of the case only have one exhaust vent, so the setup is pretty stuck to this date.

Modern cases pretty much have more vents where you can install the case fans, and depends on the airflow of the case, doing it right will make your system cool a lot better. Exhaust fan are not a necessity any more for modern cases, but it can help remove all the trapped hot air from the case.

I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_spectrum

I apologies if my comments or post offends you in any way, or if my rage got a little too far. I'll try my best to make my post as non-offensive as much as possible.
