Your PC will shut down automatically if it gets too hot. Nothings going to burn out especially since your not planning on overclocking.

Just make sure your airflow isn't blocked.

Why would I overclock it if it's already this good?

Also, I'm going to use it for gaming, not as a workstation.

What the point of buying a CPU made to have overclocking capabilities if your not going to overclock it lol?

EDIT: you might as well just buy a locked multiplier CPU if you dont plan on overclocking.... it'll save you money.

Have you already purchased the parts?

For only gaming an i7 and 32gb of RAM seem...excessive.
I like excessive things but even I wouldn't get that much RAM.

Oh dang I shoulda read this more thoroughly, you do have a ridic amount of ram if thats only going to be used for gaming... I don't remember ever seeing a game that requires even half of that(16gbs) to run....

And that PSU, you don't need 1250Watts for just one 780 ti... plus your not going to be overclocking either... a 600 - 700 watt psu would be just fine.

Yeah, but it's already so good that I don't need overclocking, no?  I don't see the point...

Like everyone is saying, if you don't plan to overclock, cut the water cooler, the special mobo, and the K version of the 4770.

It's a waste of money of a gaming rig. You could get 2 gaming systems that are just as good for gaming for the same price.

Also, there's little point getting an aftermarket cooler for gaming.

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning section. I'm moving the thread.

Why has only 1-2 people questioned the 1250w power supply? But yea collectively change the 4770k to a non overclocking CPU if you are not overclocking CPU. Power supply can be dropped down to a 600-700 watt power supply. The ram is your choice but for the most part dominator platinum is a bit overkill in price in comparison to others. The build overall seems fine but certain things could be swapped out for better value (even if you are wanting NO compromises). :)

I fix computers and computer accessories... sometimes... when I want to...

Why has only 1-2 people questioned the 1250w power supply?

Because most of the entire build is absurd and it's not really worth the time shooting down every part individually unless the OP asks why. It's easier to just suggest going back to the drawing board and to start from the beginning.

I have made already a topic which didn't go very well because a didn't read before posting... I apoloigese for that :(

Anyway, this is the PC that I would like to buy:

Motherboard: Maximus VI Formula (already bought, so I can't change it)

Processor: Intel i7-4770K

Video Card: Gtx 780 Ti

RAM : Corsair Platinum 2x8Gb

Source: Corsair AX860

Hard Disks: -for C: SSD Intel 320 600Gb

-for D: HDD WD Black 4Tb

All fitted in a Cosmos 2 case.

The screen would be a 27" ASUS 3D wide, those which come with included nvidia 3D glasses.

I DO NOT INTEND TO OVERCLOCK. I will use it for gaming, not as a workstation.

Now, my questions are:

1. Do I need watercooling on the processor, like a Cooler Master 240L prestige?

2.Is the build good? Are there any compatibility problems with it or any other kind of problems?

1. No you don't.

2. It's a powerful waste of money for gaming. You can get a rig just as good for gaming for half the price. There are no compatibility problems.

Again, read before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I'm merging the threads. Just edit your OP in the future.
