I'm pretty sure I've reached the point where I gotta call it a day, but I thought I'd try my best in here anyways.

So, I have a 1070ti that I have an Alphacool Eiswolf cooler on. A few days ago the pump died and I decided to replace it (already had a spare, pump had been making noises for a while and Alphacool sent me a new one). Replaced it, had a leak when I put it together. A few drops of water on the PCB. I carefully cleaned the water off and dried it with a hairdryer without heat on and left it to dry overnight.

Plugged it in the next day and it worked fine, temperatures better than ever. Awesome. Continued to play for a few hours that evening and called it a night. Booted up fine next day (today, as of writing this) and I played for an hour before I left the house to buy groceries. Left it on idle to just go into sleep on its own. Came back to a grey screen and (for once RGB is useful) my RGB fans were set to the booting colors instead of sleeping. I found this weird and shut it off and restarted. All im currently getting is a grey screen.

I tested with a 980 I had lying around and I have no issues with that card. Tried everything from a bios reset to new drivers, plugged in and out, other power cables and so on. I got in once, but was greeted to a 800x600 ratio, updated my drivers, and rebooted. Grey screen again.

I'm pretty sure it's dead, but if anyone wants to help with any tips or even just confirm the loss (press F to pay respects) I appreciate it.

Also first time poster here, so excuse any mistakes or formatting. Specs below.

Mobo: MSI Z390 pro carbon

CPU: 9600K @4.95 Ghz

RAM: Corsair vengeance @3000mhz

GPU: MSI Aero (Alphacool Eiswolf) 1070ti

The card is probably kaput. You could try an RMA with MSI but from what I've heard they can be fickle regarding RMA's so good luck there. It sounds like a 2070 Super or a 5700xt is in your near future.

I got a feeling they won't like me having an Eiswolf on it, bit it's worth a shot. Looking at used 1080/1080ti's and otherwise it's a 2070s. Really sucks though, it was only a year old.

The Aero cooler was absolute shit so the Eiswolf really helped out, funnily enough if became the end of it as well on Friday the 13th.
