MoCa setup help

Tran

Looking to do a MoCa ethernet setup and I don't know if I have to rewire any coax cables outside to make it possible. Anyone who is an expert at this or know anything about this type of setup any feedback would be great!

Firstly if that coax is being use for Internet service/TV service from a cable provider then you will need to use a Moca filter on the main cable line connecting to your home. This filter stops the 1 Ghz to 1.5 Ghz signal that moca uses from escaping your home AND it reflects the moca signal back in to your home making it stronger from what I have read.

Besides that I have heard of people also putting Moca filters on their modems. Other than that, I dont think there is much to do. Ive read that even if your spliters are not rated for bands over 950 Mhz that it should still pass the moca signal with a bit of loss, which still should work.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Can you circle the main cable for me where I should put on the filter? Also I'm new to this MoCa thing, what exactly is a filter? Is it a part, if so can you link me a picture or a website where I can buy them. The three coax cable connected to the spliter are all used for satellite TV

No I cant circle the cable becuase I dont know which comes from the Pole. Follow the cabling that leaves your house and goes to the pole OR connects to the underground cable. Some areas have under ground wiring.

I'm not exactly sure but this is kinda a dumb question but how exactly do you know which cable is coming from the pole/street.
