Hello guys, I am building myself a new custom PC for gaming. My budget is only $975. I am going with AMD FX8230, 8GB DDR3 corsair vengeance RAM, cooler master hyper 212X aftermarket cooler, 550watts Corsair SMPS, 1TB WD hard-disk@7400RPM. When it comes to graphics cards I am limited only to $200. I am thinking of going with AMD Radeon 7770 with 1GB of memory. Is there really any difference that will benefit me if I go with 2GB?? Because I shall be changing the graphics card in the next 1 and a half to 2 years. So is there any benefit with going with 2GB????

Well 1gb I believe in most of todays games will be a bottleneck, personally you may want to save a little bit more and get a better GPU, what type of games will you be playing?

Hope I could help!

You're better off bumping up to a 7790/260x instead of spending more for the extra memory.

This belongs in the New Builds and Planning or Graphics card section. I'm moving the thread.

Please post in the correct sub-forum in the future.

I am extremely sorry for tagging this under graphics instead of new builds. Is AMD radeon HD 7790 1GB a good graphics????

Good as in what? It's a step up from the 7770.

if you really want a good mid range graphics card

look at the HD7870 or the R9 270 & 270X

the HD7790 isn't that great unless you only want to game at 720P

and try cutting back on the CPU from the 8 core to a 6 core FX instead

btw what mobo you picked?

its best you could show us a link of you partlist
