Internal USB-C port?

Hi I'm a bit confused with whether the Asus ROG Strix B450-E has support for front USB-C. Basically the new naming system perplexed me. Can anyone help?

I don't think it does. Only X370, X470 and X570 have the USB type C internal port.

You're looking for USB 3.1 header, that motherboard doesn't have it.

Not all of them, mind you. ASUS Prime X470-Pro will probably be cheapest one that has.

Pretty sure that's the front panel USB 3.1 header, but it's a standard type-A one and not the newer Type-C? Or is it referring to the type C on the back? I can check when I get home, have a rig with a B450-F in it I need to troubleshoot anyway.

There's confusion on all these USB 3 generations, USB 3.1 Gen1 are the same as USB 3.0, USB 3.1 Gen2 it's the one that supports Type-C. USB 3.0\3.1 Gen 1 looks like wide i guess usually blue connector with the key on one side, USB 3.1 Gen 2 looks almost like Type-C itself just bigger and not round.

You can also just look at pictures of the motherboard, if it has the header.... it's sort of unique, different than other headers:
