Why does Blender's Physics suck?

So I really like playing around with soft body physics, but in Blender (my preffered 3d editor) they are just not the best. I saw this about Cinema 4d https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imUThD9XPss&t=82s

and right off the bat that looks awesome. Why is this? supposedly they both use the bullet physics engine (https://www.c4dcafe.com/ipb/forums/topic/87706-physics-engine-in-cinema-vs-blender/) and I think maya does too, but why does blender's look so much worse? Is there anyth

ing I'm missing? I'm no Blender wizz, so any help to get good results (Plugins, Settings, Anything Else) is appreciated.

Because blender is free.  They dont have 500k to throw at rag doll physics research.

What the hell is that video supposed to be? Unless it's playing incorrectly on my PC it's just a rectangle and then a screenshot of a UI.

 

Anyways, Blender hasn't had a lot of real physics improvements. I remember... good god... 6-8 years ago it was kind of a hot topic, but mostly with rigid bodies. Hasn't been improved much since then, most of the attentions gone to animation and rendering. Kind of isn't a whole lot of need for complex physics simulations in most instances, outside of fire/water, which have better dedicated programs. Jello tetris isn't a huge thing people need, and I'm pretty sure Blenders dropped the game engine.
