The time has come to upgrade my old i7 3770. Really feel out of touch with cpu now days. I have an rx 5700xt graphics card and have already got 16gb ddr 4 3200. Any suggestion on what cpu and motherboard to get? I would be looking at something that would last as long as my currant i7 3770 has.

Ryzen 3700 would be a fantastic option. Or 3600 would be equally viable.

What are you doing with your PC?
If it's just gaming and light editing, just save the money and go with the 3600. You'll get basically the same performance, especially at higher resolutions.

If you go to Youtube and type in best X570 board, Hardware Unboxed had a few suggestions, as did Gamers Nexus. Can't recall what they are, but they're from Gigabyte and Asus. Don't get an MSI board.
