I wonder if I install a GC-TITAN RIDGE thunderbolt 3 add-in card, connect it to a thunderbolt dock, and then hook up the monitor to the DP port on the dock, will G-SYNC still be working?

I saw in this video Linus mentioned that G-SYNC was working but it seems that the new tb3 add-in card uses a different chipset, will that or a different tb dock make a difference?

My gut feeling is that it should do, as surely the DP is simply acting as a repeater.

Can you buy it from somewhere with a good returns policy, just in case?

Yea, I guess that's what I will do. In the worst case I will just return them but I do want to get some info before trying it out.
