I recently got myself a ssd and I installed win 8.1 on it. I am wondering how I don have to see the:

Video,

Music,

Document Folder on the left of the file explorer! It is driving me crazy and the only answers I can find involve Senior Pc Advice.

Do you guys have an idea what might be causing it?

Picture please? If you are referring to the file-browser (explorer.exe) and not IE then just delete the library folders, it shouldn't delete the files, (they will remain in Users>XXXX>documents/music/videos)

If you are talking IE the a pic is needed even more.

EDIT Just let me know if i am completely off track here.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

@chicksoup Click on Organise under the navigation arrows then layout and click Navigation pane.

I don't really understand what you mean.

But if you right-click on a blank spot on the navigation panel, you have some option to show and hide elements.

To remove Home Group, if you are not familiar with Windows 7, simply click on HomeGroup, and click on "Leave homeGroup" option, if you see it. Then disable the 2 HomeGroup services.

Remember that you can drag and drop folders in "Favorite" section, and that you pin folders on the Start Screen for quick access to these locations.

Do you mean the folder tree on the left? Of so it should be in the view options but I have no clue why you wouldnt want to see that as its quite useful.
