No display after updating bios

xineus

Had this computer for about a month and I just updated my bios and there is no display after turning on. I noticed that updating the bios resetted my RAM setting so I changed it after the update. Now there is no display and there is a yellow DRAM light on the mobo. Everything seems to be running fine. My GPU and RAM rgb's setting is the same, but my AIO cooler's rgb seems to have reset.

Specs

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3.6 GHz 8-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62 Rev 2 98.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus TUF GAMING X570-PLUS (WI-FI) ATX AM4 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory
Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Storage: Seagate Barracuda Computer 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB FTW3 ULTRA GAMING Video Card
Power Supply: Corsair RMx (2018) 850 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

Things I've tried

  • Turning PC off and unplugging all power
  • Connecting the display to the GPU and mobo
  • Taking out both ram sticks, tried one stick, and using alternate sites
  • Using another monitor

Did I brick my mobo?

If you set the RAM timings manually, you may have missed a setting.

DOCP could also have screwed something up.

All you need to do is to clear your CMOS. That will reload all default settings.

I attached a screenshot of the manual for your motherboard on how to do this.

That worked! I got the display back, but it keeps looping and going into the bios instead of booting.

You might need to set the boot order.

Windows could have been installed with legacy boot. And the default is most likely UEFI boot.

So under the boot section of the BIOS try to change those settings and see if anything gets going.
