My screen freezes (after a weird glitch effect) when i turn on my laptop [windows 10]

Ehsan301

Hi.

Recently I got this weird problem. When I turn on my laptop, after a couple of minutes (about 10 min) my screen shows some glitch effect, and after some seconds the screen freezes at a still frame (there is no distortion effect in this frame). At this moment I cannot do anything, the CPU usage goes high and my laptop gets hot. All I can do is to perform a forced shutdown by holding the power button. But after the second turn on, it usually won't happen again (if it doesn't happen in the first 10 min, it won't happen).

Some experiments I did: First, I thought it is a virus or something, performed a full virus checkup using windows defender, but it didn't find anything and I haven't installed anything new in the last month. I also uninstalled my graphic drivers but the problem still existed.

Second, I felt like it's related to chrome (it was the only software that was installed/updated in the last two week, all the times it happened chrome was open and once when I opened chrome the cursor changed to its loading form and after a couple of seconds that happened again). So I uninstalled chrome, it was good for 2-3 days and that didn't happen. But as Microsoft edge is unusable, I installed Firefox and it was good for the first two days but an hour ago when I was using Firefox this happened again. But this time my laptop was shut down after the glitch effect (and the screen didn't freeze) and was not starting up in first tries.

How can I find where the problem is?

Also remembered  the last time it was with a blue screen with KMODE exception error. I don't think it was related to that shattering effect but I unchecked fast startup and ran "sfc /scannow" and it couldn't find any problem.

Are you able to post any pictures of what the effect and stuff looks like?

It is a glitch effect (sorry I'm not English and couldn't remember the correct word at the time of posting).

Could not picture it myself as it happens unexpectedly but I found a similar image on the internet and attached it. What happened to me is something like this but with much less intensity.

It could be a short or a connector somewhere, but I am not 100% sure.
