How to control manually fan/s speed?

For the last 24 hours, I've been trying to know how to control my Lenovo G40-70 fan speed. I've already tried SpeedFan (4.52) but it is showing nothing.

Can anyone walk me through on how I can control/set to maximum my fan speed?

SpeedFan is quite old and has issues. 

 

Jay2Cents has a decent guide on YT for SpeedFan. 

 

ArgusMonitor is better and you can use it for free for quite a long time but then it will start asking for activation.
