Both are equally bleak cards to be honest, they'll run a game but well? Nah, they fall into t he "might as well save up a bit more" catagory in my opinion, 550TI was a good budget card in its day but its getting old, might as well get a decent card of the current generation rather than one that'd barely do the job on the cheap.

I'm not saying its not a good deal, just that its hardly futureproof, that thing will need replacing sooner rather than later.

For some people that isnt an option, then you need to consider that many people have cheaper psus eg a 400w with only a 6 pin, this is one of the better gpus with a 6 pin, the 660 being the best but you cant find that much anymore, the bang for buck is pretty awesome, for college students like me there isnt the saving option, my friend has a gt 530, im sure hes gonna get this now.

I don't know how you haven't seen this.

He is in no way advocating a 240. Just using it to compare prices. For 50 euro a 550TI is a completely legitimate budget purchase.

It was a terrible card at 120 USD though.

Error: 410

CHEAPER THEN A R7 240, the 240 is cheap and shit, its so shit that its cheap price is too high. The 550 ti matches a 650 or 7770 which are double the price, i might be a little dopey due to little sleep but this deal is fucking awesome

Wait. This thing still goes for 100£ as new? Damn. Must be desperate to get maximum profit possible of the remaining 550 Ti's...

But for 50£ as new, a damn good deal. Here where I live 550 Ti's go for 40€ - 90€ as used (didn't find any new ones anymore). Maybe could've gotten a second 550 Ti to SLI it with mine, but not anymore.

Never trust my advice. Only take any and all advice from me with a grain of salt. Just a heads up.
