Nvidia Control Panel Not "Compatible With Drivers" Apparently

Despite having the latest drivers, the Nvidia control panel refuses to open because of it being somehow incompatible with the drivers. And yes I did reinstall both the drivers and the control panel also. Any ideas why this is?

Can't answer your question, but you may want to post the version(s) of either software, along with your GPU model and version of Windows.

It's the latest versions of the drivers, control panel, Windows 10, and the GPU is a 1080 Ti.

Clear everything and start again.

Download DDU, run it, reboot to safe mode when asked, run DDU again, choose Graphics > Nvidia and click Clean and Reboot then wait for the system to reboot. Afterwards reinstall the latest version again.

In that case download an earlier driver version, repeat DDU then install the older version and see if the issue goes away.
