Thermalright Venomous X on I5 9600K

Hi peeps,

 

I was wondering. I still have this Thermalright VenomousX (with 2 x 140mm fans) laying around. Will this fit on a 9600K and cool it properly?

 

Or should I buy a new recent cooler in stead?

As per their own website:

Compatible with Socket 1366/1156/775 & AM2/AM3

 

Your 9600K is socket 1151, so without promising anything, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't fit.

115x sockets use the same mounts. So any cooler that works with 1156 would also work with 1155, 1150, and 1151.
