i want to know about overclocking, not for gaming, but yes i use gpu for gaming, but it's not the main point why i want to oc my gpu

-so, i have asus cerberus gtx 1050 ti oc edition

1.how long i need to stress test with furmark tool? 20 minutes? 30 minutes?

2.can i stress test it on the background and i watch videos or read article or do something to wait it? i mean, does it still work on the background? (i cant wait it, i need to do something)

-it seems, core voltage doesnt change anything (it still crash even at 100 %)

3.why do people can pass 1000 mhz memory clock with 100% power limit and without pin connector? yes the have the difference brands, but i cant even pass + 250 mhz memory clock? but it is written "oc edition" but why?

I had the same gpu. I oc the core for +150, the memory +1000, and voltage +100% and it run 65c at 30 minutes of furmark.

Do not use furmark tho. Use unigine valley/heaven benchmark and run the app for 15minutes before runnin the actual test.

I mean thats just how it is.

Thats odd. There is something wrong with that gpu.

It means that the gpu has higher factory clock than other brands

i have the same core clock with u "+150 mhz"

how did u reach +1000 mhz  mem clock? i cant even pass +250 mhz

i increased the voltage, but it didnt change anything

2. Yes

3. 1000MHz / 4 (because GDDR5) = 250 real MHz, looks fine to me. OC edition doesn't mean it OCs well by the way. It means it has a factory overclock.

OC not for gaming... For benchmark purposes then? Just test with that benchmark. 3Dmark can be run in loops non stop for example

it may not work, sometimes Nvidia cards will just throttle to base clock when you do that.

This wont help cards that hit the power limit way before the voltage limit for sure

because silicon lottery. Overclocking memory dont directly impact power draw anywhere near as noticeable as the core

OC edition just means it is programmed to run faster than the reference card when both are at stock settings. It has nothing to do with OC potential
