PC Acting Funny

Hi there,

I recently added some new hardware to my PC however I'm getting loads of issues that I've never had before. I went from a i7-6800k & X99 motherboard to a ryzen 9 3900x and x570 motherboard and for some reason it doesnt boot up sometimes, I get the odd flickr on the screen or when I restart the PC the fans crank up but doesn't post and the fans just constantly keep on spinning and last but not least is that I have to do a hard shutdown a few times then the fans start going then they stop and the pc resets then turns back on and actually boots up.

  • I've done a clean install of windows
  • I've done a updated the BIOS to the second most recent as the most recent one just wont allow me to boot up the system to OS
  • I've done a clean install of the GPU drivers
  • I've even swapped my GPU but same issue

I'm currently at the stage now where I don't really know what to do. Any solutions or advice would be highly appreciated.

Also I seem to be getting an issue where my GPU cranks up to 100% when a game is running and then crashes. It also cranks up to 100% when no programs are open sometimes and then blue screens. Same thing happens when I plug in my GTX 1060 as well. Does this seem like a faulty motherboard?

My PC Specs:

  • Ryzen 9 3900x
  • Gigabyte Aorus Elite X570
  • Corsair Vegance RAM 3000Mhz 16GB (2x8gb)
  • Windows 10 64bit Pro
  • Samsung Evo 850 SSD 1TB
  • RTX 2070 Super Founders Edition
  • Corsair HX850i

No beeping or post code indicator I'm afraid.

Does it seem most likley the motherboard is at fault?

Lol people keep forgetting to post their PSU all the time...

You might not think it's important, but maybe you have a 250w knockoff PSU in there and it *is* important, you know.

This is not a rant,  just saying.  ?
