Is AT&T Fiber any good?

GeekYuuki

We got screwed out of our local provider (Metronet) coming to my neighborhood last year, with AT&T taking over the fiber installation afterwards. I'm not (particularly) a big AT&T fan after how garbage their DSL was several years back, but I might be willing to give them another chance. Are they any good at all?

Metronet is supposedly still mulling coming here, but I doubt they'll even touch AT&T territory.

They've been fantastic for me, never had any major issues to speak of from install to using it over the past 9-ish months.

Cool, good to know!

Which speed? I doubt I'd go the gig speed route considering how much it is, but I'm wondering what you have.

I've got the gig speed pack and get basically what I should (~950/950) but even the lower tiers are still great value since I believe they are all symmetrical connections if I remember right.

We have it in many of the subdivisions here and never hear complaints.  Wish we could have it, but are limited to Comcast Gigabit so only 1Gbps down and 45Mbps up.
